I suddenly have the urge to watch "French Kiss"
I can’t be held responsible for my urges.
Or my dorkiness…..
Christmas haul:

Carhartt jacket, game camera, camo hunting jacket and bibs, hand-me-down .22, Gander Mountain gift card. Am I a stereotype yet?

We have a plan (kinda)
Matt’s using the visual aid of “Avec Eric” while explaining supper to me. Not sure how I should feel about this, but I am sure I’ll start 2012 with a full tummy and a dirty kitchen!
Kel and I have absolutely no clue what we're doing...
themattsmith:
which most likely means takeout food and in bed by 11.
The positive attitude must not take effect until midnight….

Ideas please?
So Matt and I aren’t going out tomorrow night because we’re just not good at the babysitter thing. So what stay-at-home traditions/suggestions do you guys have for us?
Audrey will most likely go to bed at her normal time, which means we have from about 8pm until midnight to be adults. I’d like to do something a little different, mix it up a little.
I’m counting on you...
Some of my closest friends are on a plane to...
So that one (well, two) of them can get married.
I made the choice to save the money and spend my break with my daughter.
But right now, I am still pretty bummed to be missing everything. Facebook posts aren’t really helping.

I just gorged myself on homemade fried rice.
I REALLY hope I don’t end up regretting that decision in a few hours.
You know how some people have houses with all kinds of space? Bookcases with just pictures on them? Pretty little baskets with pretty little blankets in them in the corner of the room - just so? No toothpaste spots on the bathroom sink? Zero mildew in the tub? No laundry that is clean and folded, but yet to be put away?
Yeah - that’s not my house.
I can spend all damn day cleaning. Until I...
Spend entire vacation sick and in PJ's.
Still have ALL the laundry to do when I get home.
You kids want your "perfect relationship"???
The other night in the midst of my illness Matt helped walk me to the bathroom to take out my contacts. The following conversation took place:
Me: Something smells like poop.
Matt: I think that’s your breath sweetie
Me: Oh
Matt: Com’on let’s get you to bed. Feel better.
Me: ok
Matt: I love you
Me: Love you too
If that shocks you, don’t even get me started on what...

I haven't had coffee or wine in three days.
One of those things is going to end soon - stomach virus be damned!
Therapy session dream?
I had a dream last night that I had a run in with my mom (not played by my actual mom) at an apartment rummage sale. She was complaining about how I wore a size large in PJ’s and how disappointing it is that I don’t wear a small. Which is not that far off from something my mom would say in real life.
I left the apartment rummage, quite upset and went into a coffee shop. In the coffee...

Matt and I were supposed to go out tonight and leave Audrey with the grandparents. It’s not going to happen though. Frankly, I don’t even know if I will be able to have a glass of wine with the supper that Matt’s dad is cooking tonight.
I’m glad that if I was going to get sick it happened while on vacation and while Matt had help taking care of Audrey, but I am pretty...

Was just sick as hell for the last 24 hours.
I am finally keeping bread and water down. I feel better over all, except the whole right side of my body feels like it was hit by a mac truck.
Hoping a hot shower and some more food will help….
Guess who's posting this from her new iPad!!?!?!?
This VERY happy girl!!!!!!!
We're watching The Sound of Music
I’m singing and dancing with while Matt is mocking it.
That pretty much sums things up in the Smith household.

Also - I am quite possibly more excited about food than presents right now. Matt made some wonderful buttermilk pancakes and bacon for breakfast. Yummy cheese and crackers for lunch today. Then sushi tonight after Audrey is in bed while we put out presents.
Tomorrow morning is bagels and lox with cream cheese and red onions.
I can hardly wait!!!!!
Am I the only one?
That start wrapping presents on the bed and then realizes what an idiotic idea that is, but continues to do it anyway?
Also - why the hell can’t kids toys come in regular shapes boxes?!? How the hell am I supposed to wrap these things?!?
MY CAMERA IS FIXED!!!!!!!
Audrey had a bad dream around midnight...
So I was up for awhile getting her back to sleep. Mama is a little tired today, but no matter because
IT’S CHRISTMAS EVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m trying to decide between putting the sheets on the bed and making it up really nice, then taking a nice long hot shower, putting on PJ’s and crawling into bed
or
sitting on the couch, sipping more wine and just grabbing the sleeping bag on the way to bed.
Was sprinkled with puke this morning. Spent the day cleaning and caring after a toddler that was cranky because she was sick.
She woke up from a nap seeming a little better…so I thought we would brave Target and get the last little bit of Christmas shopping done.
Half way through our trip I had a cart full of purchases and Audrey, rather suddenly, had a diaper full of shit soup. The...
